Note: Follow these setup instructions only if you're using the Vouchers and Gift Cards module.
To allow voucher holders to add ticket redemptions to their vouchers, you'll specify how many ticket redemptions they can add at a time. Voucher holders topping up their vouchers can choose any of the recharge options you create and link to the voucher type, and they can purchase any recharge as many times as they like.
Note: Customers can only purchase a voucher recharge at POS. They can't top up vouchers online or at Kiosk.
Before you begin
Creating voucher recharge options
- Log in to Veezi.
- Go to Additional Modules > Vouchers and Gift Cards and click Manage.
- Go to Recharge Options.
- Click Create recharge option.
- Give the recharge option a name. This name appears in POS, so use something that is intuitive for your staff.
- Enter a number in the Redemption quantities field. When a customer purchases the recharge, this number of ticket redemptions is added to the voucher.
- Click Save.
Important! You can't change the redemption quantity after you save the record.
Create as many recharge options as you need to give your customers options and to go along with the various voucher types you've created.
Adding recharge options to a voucher
After you've created your recharge options, go to Voucher types and select a voucher that customers will be able to top up with additional ticket redemptions.
- If you haven't already, turn on Allow Recharge on the Overview tab.
- Go to the Recharging tab.
- Select any of the recharge options you created. These are the options customers or POS operators select to recharge the voucher.
- Optionally, enter recharge fees.
Note: Don't select the Use default check box.
- Sale admin fee: This fee is applied once per ticket. For example, if the redemption quantity of the recharge is set to 5, this fee is applied five times when a customer recharges the voucher.
- Card fee: This fee is applied once per transaction. For example, this fee is applied once when a customer recharges the voucher, regardless of the redemption quantity of the recharge.
Note: When you add voucher recharge buttons to your Veezi setup, POS operators can select any recharge option before scanning or entering a voucher barcode. When a POS operator attempts to recharge a voucher with a recharge option that isn't linked to the voucher type of a particular voucher, an error message appears. The POS operator must start again and select an applicable option to complete the voucher recharge.
