Keeping your site details up to date ensures that you can complete film programming as expect and that the information your signs and in your reports is accurate. In addition to basic contact information, you can set site-specific ticket and receipt messages, and you can specify the number and size of screens available at each site.
Important! If you have only one location, edit the single site that was created with your Veezi account. Don't add additional sites.
Jump to:
Site information
- Log in to Veezi.
- Go to Settings > Sites & Screens.
- Enter the site's names.
- The Name appears throughout Veezi.
- The Legal Name appears on some reports.
- The Short Name appears in places where the Name doesn't fit, such as on signs or in some reports.
- Enter the site's contact details, including the country and time zone.
Important! The time zone you enter must match the time zone settings of your POS workstations. POS will not run when the workstation time zone doesn't match the time zone you've set for the site.
- In the Sales Tax Registration field, enter any tax number assigned to your cinema by your local tax department. In countries that use sales tax registration numbers, you're typically required to include this information on receipts.
- In the National Code field, enter any government-required, site-specific report code.
Note: This field appears only with specific regional settings, so it might not appear in your system.
- Optionally, enter the name, role, and email address of the primary contact person associated with this site. These might be your details or those of a site manager.
Note: This contact information isn't displayed elsewhere in Veezi. It is simply for your records.
- Leave the Rentrak ID field empty. Learn more about setting up automatic box office reporting.
Messages
Enter any site-specific messages that you'd like printed on tickets or receipts.
Note: These messages are only for printed tickets and receipts. Set up messages for electronic tickets and receipts when you configure V-Tix.
Each message appears on its own line. Ticket messages are limited to 50 characters, and receipt messages are limited to 30 characters.
Examples:
- Enjoy the show!
- Thank you. See you again soon!
- Be the first to know what’s coming next.
- Sign up for new release alerts at cooltheatre.com
Screen information
In a site record, click the name of any existing screen to edit its details. Click Add screen to create a new screen record.
- Give your screen a name and number that will help you recognize it and distinguish it from other screens.
- The Name appears throughout Veezi.
- The Short Name appears on some reports.
- The Screen Number appears in film programming and on tickets.
Important: As you decide on a naming convention for screens, keep in mind that if you use Digital Signage, screen names appear on door signs.
- Click an attribute to make it active for the screen. Attributes are labels for screens, films, and sessions that help you provide moviegoers with details about the session, such as when the screen is in your premium seating auditorium.
Note: Every screen must have at least one attribute.
- Enter the number of seats in this auditorium.
Note: House seats don't appear in your sales channels and are reserved for use in unexpected situations, like a movie star's surprise visit. You can release them at POS as needed or at a particular time in advance of each show.
- Select the Request Allocated Seating check box if each ticket is associated with a particular seat. Then, click Choose File and upload any seat layout you're currently using for this auditorium. The Veezi support team will use the file you provide to build your seat layout into Veezi.
Important! It usually takes about a week for the Veezi support team to build your seat layout, but more complicated requests can take additional time. After the Veezi support team adds a seat layout to your system, a link appears so you can easily contact support again when you need changes.
Note: Your seat layout can do more than simply reflect the number of seats available in the auditorium. If you offer seats at different price points, such as a premium seating area, a box or circle seating option, or a lower-priced unassigned seating area, your seat layout (and ticket pricing) can reflect the options you offer. Let the Veezi support team know what different seating areas you have, and the team will create appropriate seating area categories.
Tip: To set your default show and seating settings, including a maximum seating capacity that applies to all auditoriums, go to Settings > General Settings.
