Attributes help you share details about your showings with moviegoers. For example, your customers might want to know which films are playing on a wall-to-wall screen, which showings are intended for parents with small children, or which films have subtitles.
You can easily note this type of detail by creating attributes and assigning them to screens, sessions, and films. Attributes appear in V-Tix, on digital signage, and in Kiosk.
- Log in to Veezi.
- Go to Settings > Attributes.
- Click Add attribute.
- Select an attribute type. You can choose multiple attribute types when a characteristic applies to some combination of screen, session, or film.
Examples: You might select both Screen and Film when you create a 35mm attribute. You might select Screen, Session, and Film when you create a 3D attribute.
-
Screen attributes, such as IMAX or recliner seating, describe a screen or auditorium. These characteristics or amenities apply to all sessions scheduled for the screen, regardless of the film. Screen attributes don't appear in film programming and can't be removed from individual sessions.
Note: After you create screen attributes, the attribute field appears in screen records. Update screen details to assign attributes to screens.
Important! Screen attributes don't appear in film programming and can't be turned on or off at the session level.
-
Session attributes describe a particular cinema experience for a particular showing. For example, you might create a Just for kids! attribute if you have afternoon screenings where you leave the house lights up and encourage parents to bring toddlers. Or you might create a Live! attribute if you stream theatre or concert performances.
Note: You can turn session attributes on or off for each session when you build your film schedule in Film Programming.
-
Film attributes, such as 3D or subtitled, describe a particular film format or characteristic. These attributes apply anytime the film is shown, regardless of the screen it's scheduled on or any session attributes.
Notes:
- After you create film attributes, the attribute field appears in film records. Update film details to assign attributes to films.
- You can turn film attributes on or off for each session when you build your film schedule in Film Programming. Film attributes are automatically selected if you've added them to film records, but you can select (or turn off) any film attribute for any film.
-
Screen attributes, such as IMAX or recliner seating, describe a screen or auditorium. These characteristics or amenities apply to all sessions scheduled for the screen, regardless of the film. Screen attributes don't appear in film programming and can't be removed from individual sessions.
- Give the attribute a short name and a description. The short name appears in film programming, V-Tix, Digital Signage, Kiosk, and reports. The description appears in V-Tix and in YOUR CINEMA websites.
- Choose colors for the attribute. These colors are used when the attribute appears in V-Tix and Kiosk.
- Click Yes to create an attribute that identifies sessions for which no complimentary tickets are available. This attribute is automatically applied when you schedule a film in Film Programming and select the comps Not allowed setting.
- Click Save changes.
Note: Assigning attributes at multiple levels can be a helpful way to think through film scheduling. For example, you might have a particular auditorium that you typically use for kids shows. However, attribute matching is not enforced when you build your schedule. For example, you can schedule a 3D film on a screen that does not have the 3D attribute.
