Read this first!
- Don't panic! In most cases, OFFLINE MODE is automatically activated.
- You can still sell tickets with some minor operational changes.
- We'll batch up all of your transactions and process them when the connection comes back.
Here's what you need to know
- Your internet sales are still active, but validation is unavailable.
- Vouchers, loyalty, and gift cards are unavailable.
- If your payment provider supports the 'store and forward' function, you can still accept credit card payments while the internet is down.
- Allocated seating is unavailable.
- You need to keep an eye on capacity.
- When your internet is back up, POS and other other parts of Veezi software will automatically reconnect and upload any data stored while you were in offline mode.
Here's what you need to do
- If you don't see 'OFFLINE MODE' on your POS screen, physically unplug the ethernet cable. This should allow it go into OFFLINE MODE.
- If your POS internet connection is slow or intermittent, disable your Wi-Fi or unplug your ethernet cable until the internet improves. In the meantime, OFFLINE MODE will be automatically activated.
- Because POS doesn't currently know what your internet sales are, you may end up overselling at POS. To prevent this, you may want to turn off internet sales. With your main connection down, you'll need to use your mobile to log into Back Office. (More detail in the linked article at the bottom.)
- Use a specific POS to sell tickets for specific shows. POS can't update seat counts in offline mode, and it's easiest to track this information manually when all sales happen in one place. (More detail in the linked article at the bottom.)
- Use any POS for food and beverage sales.
- You could temporarily use a mobile or other device with a cellular connection to create an internet hotspot for POS.
- If your network internet is still up but your POS machines can't connect to it, reach out to us.
