When you show multiple films as a single event, such as a double feature or a movie marathon, you can create a single film record that includes all the relevant films. Then, use the multi-film record to schedule sessions in film programming. Tickets for the session include admission to all film showings, and your reports include admission data for each film, with revenue divided as you specify.
Before you begin
Create all of the individual film records you'll put together in the multi-film record.
Create a multi-film record
- Log in to Veezi and go to Programming > Multi / Double Feature.
- Complete the form. You'll enter details here just as you would for an individual film record, with two exceptions:
- You don't need to specify a distributor in a multi-film record because there might be different distributors for the different films. See below for detail on how to specify how revenue from the multi-film session is split among distributors.
- The Duration automatically reflects the combined duration of the individual films you include in the multi-film record.
- Click Add film in the Films section of the page.
- Search for each film you need, click Add, and then click Save changes to add all the films at once.
- In the Split Percent field, indicate how much of the box office revenue from sessions of this multi-film event is attributed to each film. The percentages you enter must add up to 100%.
Example: If you add two films and enter 50.00 in each Split Percent field, the distributors of the two films evenly split the revenue from the double feature sessions.
- Optionally, adjust the trailer and cleanup time for each film.
Note: When you schedule sessions from this multi-film record, the time blocked on the schedule reflects the duration of each film plus all the trailer and cleanup time you enter except for the cleanup time of the last film. The session following any session created from this multi-film record can't start until the cleanup time of the final film has elapsed, even though that time doesn't appear blocked on the film programming schedule.
- Optionally, adjust the order number to determine the order in which the films appear in your sales channels.
