Increasing your ticket sales with MovieScout

If you're a Canadian cinema wanting to reach a wider audience, you can easily share your showtimes, and have them automatically updated, on a dedicated page on the MovieScout website. MovieScout is "a platform that’s dedicated to helping Canadians discover all movies playing in all theatres—big and small—across the country".

• The service is free.
• You'll have your own listing page with your showtimes and movie details on it.
• MovieScout doesn't sell tickets. The listing page will redirect moviegoers to your V-Tix page for ticketing.
• To have your showtimes displayed, all you have to do is share an API key with MovieScout. Follow the easy instructions below to do this.

Note: MovieScout intends to launch in late August 2025. Showtimes added before the launch will appear at the time of the launch.

Get set up

1. In Veezi Back Office, go to Additional Modules > API Integration, and click Manage.
2. Click Add +.
3. Select your Site.
4. Type "MovieScout" into the Description field.
5. Click Save Changes.
6. Copy the new key ("Token").
7. Email the key to API@moviescout.ca.
   1. Use the subject line "MovieScout API Key".
   2. Copy the key into the email body. You don't need to send anything else.
8. Once you've done that, your showtimes will automatically sync with MovieScout.
   1. This may take a little while. If your showtimes don't appear within an hour or two, check the next day.
