Limiting voucher or gift card sale times

Note: These setup instructions apply only if you're using the Vouchers and Gift Cards module.

You can specify when particular vouchers or gift cards are available for purchase. For example:

• Make a New Year promotion voucher available only in the month of January.
• Run a weekly gift card flash sale that lasts only a few hours.

To complete this setup, you'll build a timetable that specifies when a particular kind of item is available for sale. Then, you'll select the timetable in any voucher types that should follow that availability schedule you created. You can create as many timetables as you need and link any number of voucher types to an individual timetable.

Note: This setup is optional. Vouchers or gift cards created from a voucher type that is not linked to a timetable are always available for purchase and can be sold anytime.

1. Log in to Veezi.
2. Go to Additional Modules > Vouchers and Gift Cards and click Manage.
3. Go to the Timetables tab, and click Create Timetable.
4. Give your timetable a name and description. For example, "Weekdays" and "Available for purchase Monday to Friday."
5. Choose whether you'll select the days and times of the week or the date range that the voucher or gift card is available for purchase. Then, complete the date range or day and time fields.
   

   Important! At any point outside the period you specify, vouchers or gift cards created from any voucher type linked to this timetable will not be available.

6. Click Save.
7. Go to the Voucher types tab and open a voucher type.
8. Go to the Limitations tab and select the timetable you created.

   Tip: One of the options on the Limitations tab is Not valid. Use this setting if you're creating a voucher type in advance of when you'll being using it, or to deactivate a voucher type that you no longer need.
